Hello. I’m Jane, a thirty-something dreamer who spends most of her time being Mum to Jacob (just 6) and Tom (nearly 8), and wife to Will, as best I can. In my spare time I try to keep my hand in with the social research skills in which I’ve been trained, attempting to make a ‘career’ from a fascination from asking questions, shaping and reshaping thoughts and daring to share them with others.
Until recently we lived in Grenoside, facing one way as a suburb of the industrious and post-industrially challenged city of Shefffield, the other as the edge of open country – the Pennines, the Peak District and beyond. We loved our life there, but part of my heart will always be in the corner of Sussex where I come from, where I belong and where – for the moment – I have returned to. Still other parts are buried in the many other places we’ve visited and loved, and those we are yet to discover.
As the title suggests, this is my space for thinking aloud. I hope I’ll ask more questions than I’ll answer. Life is a journey. Thank you for coming along.
